About Team
Ali Melhem, M.D
Dr. Ali Melhem is a Diploma of the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology and is certified in General Psychiatry and Counseling Psychiatry (Psychosomatic Medicine). He is also certified in addiction medicine by the American Board of Preventive Medicine.
He is experienced in the assessment and treatment of all psychiatric disorders as well as the assessment and treatment of psychiatric manifestations in medical and neuropsychiatric disorders. His skills include assessing and treating patients with substance use disorders, as well as those with coexisting psychiatric disorders and substance use disorders.
He completed his medical degree at the American University of Beirut and his internship in Internal Medicine at the American University Hospital. He completed his psychiatry training in the Ohio State University Department of Psychiatry.
Imad M. Melhem, MD
Dr. Imad Melhem is licensed in both general and child and adolescent psychiatry. In his current position, Dr. Melhem serves as Chief Clinical Officer for Consultant Neurobehavioral Medicine in St. Clairsville, Ohio, and is a resident psychiatrist and liaison for several area hospitals. He received his medical degree in 2004 from Saint Joseph’s University in Beirut, Lebanon.
He traveled to the United States to complete a residency in general psychiatry at the University of New Mexico and then a two-year fellowship in child and adolescent psychiatry at Harvard Medical School.
During his career, Dr. Melhem conducted and published psychopharmacology research at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center, served on the Diversity Committee of the Department of Psychiatry at Massachusetts General Hospital, and participated in the American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry’s Committee on Continuing Medical Education. some dr. Melhem is co-led by Neurobehavioral Medicine Consultants, a patient-centered medical home and integrative medicine program. His current research interests include early-onset bipolar and autism spectrum disorders, cultural and global psychiatry, and the integration of primary care and psychiatry.

Difficult to grasp. I’ve never had the same wait time issues as others, probably because I showed up a few minutes before my return trip. When I asked questions, they didn’t really focus on helping me understand, and the longest visit was 10 minutes, which annoyed me a bit.
