WOW! Turned my boat in on Wednesday, Oct. 26th for water pump issues and gear shift issues and on the 27th, got a call from Allyn, the Owner, telling me it was ready! He also conducted other maintenance functions and discovered mud in the gear lube. The 15 hp Johnson runs smoother and shifts smoother like it did when it was new! I am completely satisfied and pleased with the service and the reasonable cost with their pleasant disposition! I’m from Richlands and traveled to Swansboro for this repair because of their outstanding reputation. I will return for other repairs when needed!
Bought a used boat with a heavily neglected motor. Ended up bringing it to Alan for a lower unit rebuild and he did a phenomenal job and had it back to me way sooner than any other shop quoted me. Speedy and reliable service with a more than fair price. Alan is extremely knowledgeable and will be my go-to boat mechanic from here on out
Wow just WOW Bought a boat from SC and trailered it home our first outing was ok But at full throttle engine would miss and bounce. Took it to Swansboro Outboard Marine. I received a phone call the very same day. Fully expecting to have it gone for a couple of weeks. It went in Monday morning after having to order parts and do all the repairs Its sitting in my driveway before 5pm Wednesday. Top that if you can BUT not Likely
Called about a minor issue with my battery not supplying power to the engine. Figured it was a simple fix but I didn’t have the knowledge or equipment to fix it myself…called Allan and brought the boat there and within 5 minutes he found the issue and fixed it up. Highly recommend and will definitely be back for future boat repairs or general maintenance
