I think my experience can provide some insight into company policy and honesty. I’m the driver on 101 East/South in the back of this company’s work truck. A lot of dust, dirt and metal particles came out of the work truck after a few miles. I had no choice but to stay behind as I was driving in the same direction. My car and the vehicles of many others around me are covered in this problem, the car looks like a person with small pieces of metal and dirt around. I went to the car wash and they gave me a $60 estimate because they had to hand wash the car to avoid scratching the car. I contacted Torres Iron Works and was referred to Tom Cole, who sent me an email full of legalese saying they would only pay $40 because a car wash usually costs me $20. I want to find a solution quickly and say ok. This agreement was signed on October 4, 2017. 10/17 Still no check, I sent an email stating that failure to receive a check will void our agreement by the end of the week. I’m here today, without checking.I ended up spending $80 on a car wash because the metal particles started scratching my hood and being extra careful with the details. I think it’s a glimpse into a company that is abiding by the contract. And since you might think I wouldn’t bother with $80, I can only imagine what a real customer could experience. I will now file a complaint with the DMV regarding the dangerous vehicle and BBB dispute until resolved.
