"This was the morning of the eclipse. Off season. They were well staffed & making it work really really well. Heading up to the mountains to view the eclipse & needed a good meal. Keyes is the first restaurant you come to as you drive north into Old Forge. There was a short line (it was about 9 AM) but I got seated at the counter immediately. They were packed & doing a great job at getting the groups seated as quickly as possible. I saw someone else's order & asked if the pancakes were a short or full stack. Jessica said 'full' as she was pouring my coffee & finding creamer for me. She dared me to get one, so I did. Also 2 scrambled eggs on the side. They do not have turkey bacon - I asked. The order came out quickly. The eggs were a bit drier than I personally like but they were good. The pancakes - oh my. Huge & filling & fluffy & really yummy. I ate about 3/4 of the order. I was hungry (had already driven over an hour), but it was also the most breakfast I'd eat."
